Description

How the F...do I understand my health insurance?

Did you know…

  • Roughly 50% of adults cannot explain what a deductible is or how it works.
  • More than 60% of Americans cannot correctly calculate a coinsurance payment.
  • Nearly 3 in 5 underinsured adults avoid needed care because they don’t understand or can’t predict costs.
  • Medical debt is a leading cause of bankruptcy in the United States.

Let's face it - health insurance is not an exciting topic. But understanding your health insurance is one of the most powerful ways to protect your health and your wallet. This class teaches you how to decode confusing terms, avoid surprise bills, choose the right plan for your needs, and confidently use the benefits you’re already paying for. Whether you’re choosing a new plan or simply trying to understand the one you have, you’ll walk away feeling more informed & empowered to make smarter decisions about your coverage.

How The F*#? Session Four - Understanding Health Insurance

    • Educational - we’ll start with the basics and build from there.
    • Practical - you’ll leave understanding health insurance and how to use it.
    • Localized - we’ll focus on what works in Eagle County.
  • What this isn't:
    • A lecture – bring your questions and let’s dig in!
    • A sales pitch – this is for educational purposes only.
    • Judgmental – come as you are & no question is too basic.
