ESWA has partnered with the US Forest Service to develop a team of Volunteer Wilderness Rangers (VWRs) who patrol trails in designated Wilderness Areas throughout Eagle and Summit County, Colorado. The focus of our VWR program is to educate people in our Wilderness areas about the Wilderness and its do's and don'ts, to provide active feedback on trail conditions to our Sawyer and Trail crews, and collect data for the US Forest Service.
