The first weekend in October brings the annual Vail Valley Challenge Cup, hosted by the Vail Valley Soccer Club.

At this competitive youth soccer tournament, teams meet opponents from all over Colorado and some surrounding states to vie for the championship medal in their age bracket. Over 80 teams traveled to the Vail Valley in October 2010 to appreciate the picturesque setting of this annual soccer tournament.
