The Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry started in the early 1990’s as a fundraiser to help support the Eagle County rodeo. Over the years, the Oyster Fry has become one of Eagle County’s premier fundraising events.
Today, the Oyster Fry is dedicated to supporting Eagle County’s 4-H programs with proceeds supporting academic scholarships, club funding requests, and awards for all Eagle County Fair Grand Champions and Reserve Champions.
Since its beginning 30 years ago, the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry has raised over $400,000. In the last year alone, the RMOF contributed over $38,000 to individual 4-H clubs, scholarships, and awards. This year’s Oyster Fry will feature a special fundraising effort to initiate the Jenny Leonetti scholarship fund in memory of Jenny Leonetti, 4-H Youth Development Specialist, and a much loved member of the Eagle County community.
Thanks to special group of long-time Eagle County locals, Joe Winstead, Debbie Darrough, Patty Hackman, and the RMOF board, the event will be back for another year of music with the Joey Rowland Band, great food, silent auction, live auction, and kids' zone. Don’t miss it!
