Join the Eagle County Democrats to learn more about our candidates for County Commissioner. There is one candidate running for District 1, incumbent Matt Scherr. There are three candidates running for District 2: Tom Boyd, Geoff Grimmer, and Sarah Smith Hymes. Please submit any questions or topics you would like the candidates to address in the field below or by sending an email to info@eagledems.org no later than Friday, February 9. There will be no live questions taken from the audience. Registration is requested in advance as space is limited. Attendees who did not pre-register will be admitted provided space is still available. Registered Democrats in Eagle County will designate which of the District 2 candidates will appear on the June 25 state non-presidential primary ballot at the upcoming county assembly to be held virtually on Saturday, March 9 at 3:00 pm. To participate in the Eagle County Democrats' caucus, assembly & convention, voters must be registered Democrats in Eagle County no later than Friday, February 16, 2024. 16- and 17-year old pre-registered Democrats are also eligible to participate and be elected as delegates.
