Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup set to return to Beaver Creek in December 2023 with two downhills, super G, and weekend of festivities
Beaver Creek, Colo., Sept. 21, 2023 — Snow flurries are dusting high peaks and mountain-dwellers around the northern hemisphere are turning their thoughts toward skiing – and ski racing – in anticipation of the coming season.
Since 1997 the Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup in Beaver Creek, Colo., has been “Where Winter Begins,” in North America.
This Nov. 30 – Dec. 3, the Vail Valley Foundation has a slate of World Cup races, Warren Miller and Teton Gravity Research film screenings, live music, sponsor activations, the very popular Beers of Prey tasting event and other festivities planned for the annual stop as the “White Circus” comes to town for one of its most iconic stops.
“The excitement is already building for this year’s races and events in Beaver Creek, not only for the thousands of people who come to celebrate ski racing, music, and lifestyle in the Rockies, but also to the tens of millions of people worldwide who tune in to watch the best ski racers in the world compete on the Birds of Prey course,” said Sarah Franke, Birds of Prey Event Director for the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation, which hosts the event each year.

The annual Beers of Prey beer tasting on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. is on track to be one of the best yet. Tickets are now available for sampling in the heart of Beaver Creek Village on “Birds of Prey Way” while live music fills the winter air. The weekend of events will also feature live music, daily giveaways, the Pumphouse Bar, athlete signings and concerts. Warren Miller’s “All Time” will screen at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Teton Gravity Research’s “Legend Has It” will screen at the Vilar Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Tickets are available for purchase at vilarpac.org.
