VVP Announces 2024 Chairman’s Award and Member of the Year

VVP Press Releases Community News

We are pleased to announce our 2024 Chairman’s Award and Member of the Year as part of the 21st Annual Success Awards. Congratulations to Gary Woodworth and Amy Yurcak!

Chairman’s Award

Gary Woodworth has called Eagle County home for 45 years, during which time he has raised his family and built a career at The Gallegos Corporation that spans nearly 37 years, with the last 14 as the CEO. Gary currently serves on the Board of the Vail Valley Foundation, the Seasonal Employers Alliance, and supports the local community through many forms of engagement. Gary and his wife, Dacia, enjoy spending free time with their granddaughters, the outdoors, and on high mountain trails on horseback throughout the summer and fall.

The Vail Valley Partnership board of governors has benefitted from Gary’s wisdom for the past 11 years. It would be enough if Gary had simply contributed from the perspective of his own industry; however, Gary’s knowledge and experience extend far beyond to issues faced by all Vail Valley businesses. “It has truly been an honor to serve alongside Gary on the VVP board, and although he will be missed, we truly appreciate his dedication to his business and our community,” said Mike Brown, VVP Board Chair.

Member of the Year

Amy Yurcak, Area Managing Director and Broker Associate for Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties, supports all of the Partnership’s efforts. She takes it upon herself to stay in-the-know and share that knowledge with any and everyone who may benefit – from our after hours mixers to an important ballot initiative. She not only supports VVP’s mission, but fosters community everywhere she goes.

Amy’s passion for workforce development is second to none, and the opportunities and knowledge she has brought to the local community – especially our youngest professionals through the CareerWise Eagle County program – are truly impressive. Her ability to connect with people is an invaluable asset to both VVP and the community at large.
