On Tuesday, June 17, Valley View’s Calaway-Young Cancer Center hosted a special community gathering at Sayre Park in Glenwood Springs in celebration of National Cancer Survivor Month, commemorated annually in June. The event honored local cancer survivors and their loved ones, while also remembering those who are no longer with us.

The celebration featured live music by Shaefer Welch, complimentary snacks and beverages from Aspen Mini Donuts and Jimmy John’s, and a tribute recognizing survivors past and present.

The event was made possible thanks to the generous sponsors of Cancer Survivorship Month at Valley View including Courtyard by Marriott Glenwood Springs, Residence Inn, Path Forward IT, Microsoft, R.S.
