August 31, 2025.  The Vail Edwards Rotary Club will again hold the annual rubber duck race in Vail Village on Labor Day Weekend. The 27th Annual Rubber Duck Race will take place on Gore Creek between the Covered Bridge to the International Bridge. Up to 10,000 yellow ducks will be released as part of the race with the first duck to cross the finish line wining the grand prize of $5,000. Other prizes will also be awarded to the next 25 ducks to cross the finish line.

The Vail Duck Race is the largest fund raiser for the Vail Edwards Rotary Club. It supports the many grants the Club provides to other non-profit organizations in the community, college scholarships for graduating high school students, Rotary International Youth Exchange, children's literacy, health, Salvation Army, Search & Rescue and much, much more.
