Event included awards for two VBR founding members, REALTOR® and Affiliate of the Year.

The Vail Board of REALTORS® installed new board members and honored past leadership at its recent annual Installation Celebration.

The evening revealed the Affiliate of the Year, a tie for Laura Putnam of National Property Inspections and Larry Mullin of Mullin and Associates Home Inspections. Crissy Rumford of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate was awarded Realtor of the Year.

In addition to being a former VBR chair, Rumford will represent Colorado Realtors as 2025 Mountain District vice president with the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.

“Being recognized by my peers in an industry I deeply love and am so passionate about is truly a humbling honor,” said Rumford. “Family, mentors, colleagues, and clients have been a constant source of collective support, and I am fortunate to have so many willing to stand beside me.”

Rumford stated that she owes much to her Native American roots, which instilled a profound respect for a connection to the land and all it provides.

“This guiding principle inspires me to approach every transaction with respect, gratitude, and a deep sense of stewardship for the land and communities we serve,” added Rumford.

Two of the VBR’s founding members, Rod Slifer and David Cole, were honored at the event. Both Slifer and Cole were former VBR leadership, past Realtors® of the Year, and were two of the initial members of the VBR. Cole was instrumental in founding the VBR’s charter with the National Association of REALTORS in 1978. Both men passed away earlier this year and left an enduring legacy for Eagle County real estate.

Also recognized at the event were the 2024 VailPro® Designation graduates: Kim Hefty, Sara Hoodicoff, Lyndsey Stevens, and Listle Isaacs. Vail Pro Designation is an educational program created exclusively for the VBR Realtor® or Affiliate members who want to increase their knowledge in the real estate industry to become local experts.

The 2025 VBR Board of Directors are Chair Mark Gordon, Chair-Elect Ann Foster, and Past Chair Cara Connolly. Alex Griffin, Cynthia Thrall, Dawn Mullin, Jeanelle Chavez, and Mike Seguin will serve as directors. Chrissie Davis of East West Hospitality will be the affiliate liaison.

The Vail Multi-List Service Board of Directors will be Chair Tiffany McCracken, Chair-Elect Will Sipf, Past-Chair Adam Bartlett, and directors Carrie Larson, Daned Kirkham, George Streeter, and Greg Peterson. The VBR Foundation Board will be led by Chair Ann Foster, Chair-Elect Stephanie Hart, Past-Chair Jennifer Coulson, and directors Alex Griffin, Amy Yurcak, Ashley Schleper, Erin Cook, Julie Retzlaff, and Meg Sierant.
