Ice Castles Sets Closing Date with Warm Upon the Horizon
Winter is quickly winding down, and with it one of the season’s most cherished attractions will be closing for the season. With the warm temperatures on the horizon, Ice Castles in Eagle, CO will have its last day of the 2025 season on Sunday, February 23.
Visitors have one more weekend to check out the icy fortress. On Sunday, February 23 we will host one final locals’ day to celebrate the community that embraced Ice Castles this winter. Locals that show proof of residency in Eagle or Gypsum, CO can purchase a ticket for $5 at the ticketing office on-site. Over the 9 week season, thousands of people visited and enjoyed the icy fortress's ice slides, ice-carved tunnels, and towers of cascading ice that lit up at night.
“I am incredibly proud of our crew and their determination to build a spectacular castle in a new location with all of the hurdles Mother Nature has thrown at us this year,” said Ice Castles CEO Kyle Standifird.
Tickets are currently on sale for the final weekend on Ice Castles’ website, https://icecastles.com/eagle-colorado/
