Colorado Economic Update
he Colorado employment data was recently released. On a positive note:
- The May unemployment rate remained at 3.9%, The U.S. rate is 4.3%.
- The May year-over-year leaders in job growth were state government; construction; accommodation and food services; and warehousing, transportation, and utilities.
- Retail sales have been solid.
- DIA is on a path for a record number of passengers this year.
- The number of multifamily permits issued is solid.
- The equity markets have been volatile, but positive, and there are signs that the U.S. labor market is turning around.
