Man of the People is excited to announce we are looking to fill two (2) full time professional Property Services Crew Leader positions. Man of the People is a full-service property care company serving Eagle, CO and the surrounding area. We provide professional snow removal in the winter and landscaping, tree work, and property services throughout the spring, summer, and fall. This is a full-time, year-round position combining hands-on fieldwork, leadership, and equipment operation.

Pay rate of $25.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience.  Eligible for "End of Season" Performance Bonus of up to $1,500.00.  May be eligible for season Ski Pass!


GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Independently the Property Services Crew Leader will manage assigned service crews through oversight, guidance, direction and engagement. Incumbent is also responsible for various service activities including but not limited to snow removal operations, landscaping, tree work, and property services. Responsible for the management of assigned staff, including oversight for the effective completion of assigned tasks, and execution of performance management in accordance with company policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Winter: Snow Removal Operations

  • Responsible for leading a residential and commercial snow route.
  • Safe and efficient operation of plow trucks, snow blowers, and related equipment.
  • Supervise small crews during snow storms and ensure timely service.
  • Responsible for communicating with customers and accurate documentation of work.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of snow equipment to maintain safe working condition.

Spring – Fall: Landscaping, Tree Work, and Property Services

  • Responsible for leading landscaping, lawn care, brush clearing, and irrigation projects.
  • Oversee and participate in tree removal work: limb cutting, felling assistance, chipping, cleanup.
  • Perform safe operation of skid steers, mini-excavators, chainsaws, mowers, trimmers, and trailers.
  • Maintain safety standards for equipment and tree-related work.
  • Ensure high-quality job completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support for property cleanups, hauling jobs, grading, and general services.
  • Track material usage, manage tools, and coordinate jobsite preparation and cleanup.
  • Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, evaluation, goal setting, performance management, corrective action, coaching and mentoring.
  • Timely review and approval of all employee timesheets, time off requests, and absences.

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Train new crew members on safety, productivity, and equipment use.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for customers.
  • Maintain accurate time logs, notes, and documentation.
  • Monitor equipment condition and request repairs.
  • Represent Man of the People professionally and reliably.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines.
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes
  • Is available for other duties as required.
  • Is available for overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to work an on-call schedule as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage assigned crew members.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing landscaping, tree work, construction or property services.
  • One (1) year of direct experience supervising small work crews in the snow removal, landscaping, construction, tree service or property services industries.
  • Must have a valid Colorado drivers’ license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedure manuals.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience safely using tools and equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, skid steers, movers, trimmers, trailers, snow equipment, etc.
  • General knowledge of knots, climbing systems, chainsaw operations, pruning techniques
  • and chipping operations.
  • Familiar with executing vehicle pre and post trip inspections.
  • Familiar with the management of small tool and equipment maintenance programs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to production.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions both cold and hot.
  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
