Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing and HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, heating, and cooling systems in both residential and commercial properties. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Install plumbing systems, heating units, and related fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Perform regular maintenance on heating, plumbing & cooling systems to ensure efficiency and prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnosis and repairing issues on heating, plumbing & cooling systems like water heaters and boilers.
- Conduct inspections to assess the condition of plumbing, heating and cooling systems and ensure they meet local codes and safety regulations.
- Identify problems in systems and determine the best course of action for repairs or replacements.
- Communicate with clients to explain issues, offer solutions, and provide estimates for work needed.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls for urgent plumbing, heating and cooling issues, such as leaks or system failures.
- Follow safety protocols to protect oneself and others while working with potentially hazardous materials and tools
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing and hydronic heating systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning plumbing fixtures, pipes, or valves
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing and heating systems to ensure their proper functioning
- Recommend upgrades and replacements when necessary to ensure quality system operation and reliability
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes while carrying out plumbing tasks
- Adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Available for on call shifts (as required).
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Strong mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems and components
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to changing job demands
- English proficiency (Required)
- Service experience: 2 years (Required)
