Position Summary:
The Development & Fundraising Manager supports the sustainability and growth of TreeTop Child Advocacy Center through fundraising, donor stewardship, marketing support, and community engagement. This role works closely with the Executive Director to strengthen donor relationships, coordinate fundraising initiatives, increase community awareness, and support outreach efforts across Colorado’s 5th Judicial District.
As part of a collaborative nonprofit team, this posigration also provides support to children and families during and following forensic interviews while helping maintain a welcoming, trauma-informed environment.
Mission Focus:
This role exists to help TreeTop grow sustainable funding, strengthen community relationships, and increase awareness so the organization can continue providing critical support services to children and families across the 5th Judicial District.
Essential Functions: Development and Fundraising
- Support annual fundraising goals and donor development strategies
- Assist with sponsorship outreach and relationship management
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns, including Colorado Gives Day
- Support planning and execution of fundraising and community events
- Maintain donor tracking systems and fundraising spreadsheets
- Review donation reports and assist with campaign tracking
- Assist in identifying new fundraising and partnership opportunities
- Manage grant programs
Essential Functions: Donor Stewardship
- Coordinate donor acknowledgment processes including thank-you cards, emails, and receipts
- Maintain consistent donor communication and follow-up
- Support donor recognition efforts including donor wall updates
- Track donor engagement and stewardship activities
- Assist with donor appreciation efforts and relationship-building
Essential Functions: Marketing and Communications
- Coordinate and schedule social media content
- Support website updates and ongoing maintenance
- Assist with email newsletters and campaign communications
- Help create marketing materials using Canva and other platforms
- Support annual report creation and presentation materials
Essential Functions: Community Engagement
- Represent TreeTop at chamber meetings, networking events, and community activities
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners
- Support awareness campaigns and outreach events
- Assist with volunteer coordination for events and initiatives
- Help strengthen TreeTop’s visibility throughout the 5th Judicial District
Essential Functions: Forensic Interview and Advocacy Support
- Provide advocacy support to children and families during and following forensic interviews
- Help create a welcoming, trauma-informed environment for children and caregivers
- Coordinate family support resources, referrals, and follow-up communication as needed
- Support multidisciplinary team collaboration and communication when appropriate
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion when interacting with children and families
Essential Functions: Administrative Support
- Maintain organized digital files and development materials
- Support internal reporting and data management
- Assist with communication between staff, donors, and partners
- Utilize systems including Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, and donor tracking tools
Additional Requirements:
- Complete all required training courses as designated by the Executive Director.
- Adhere to all policies within organization and those outlined within the TreeTop Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to travel and work at other Treetop locations as determined by the Executive Director.

- Must participate in quality assurance/ improvement activities when applicable.
- Answer phone calls, routes phone calls as needed, and provide general information to callers.

Education/Experience:
Must Haves to be Successful:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient customer service skills preferably healthcare but not required.
- Basic knowledge of digital systems (including Microsoft Office Suite) required, including Google Suite, Zoom, Trello, Case Cracker, Grant Assist, and Guardify.
- Critical level of attention to detail.
- Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, marketing, communications, or community engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Comfortably managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience with Canva, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, social media platforms, and website management preferred
- Ability to build positive relationships with donors, partners, and community members
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative team player
Nice to Haves
- Customer Service Experience preferred.
- Previous non-profit experience preferred.

Work Environment:
TreeTop Child Advocacy Center is a collaborative, mission-driven organization serving children and families impacted by abuse. Team members are expected to work with professionalism, compassion, flexibility, and a commitment to trauma-informed practices.
Some evening or weekend event attendance may be required throughout the year.
