Are you a detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy individual with a passion for community development and public service? The Town of Eagle is looking for an Administrative Technician II to join our dynamic Community Development team! In this pivotal role, you’ll provide essential administrative support while contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of key community development initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

As an Administrative Technician II, you will be at the heart of our Community Development Department, providing critical support to both the team and the public. Your duties will include:

  • Customer Service & Reception: Answer calls, greet visitors, and provide outstanding service to the public.
  • Land Use Applications & Permitting: Support the processing, tracking, and issuance of land use applications and permits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Report & Database Management: Generate reports, track expenses, and manage departmental records in both paper and digital formats.
  • Budget Support: Assist with budget administration, including tracking departmental spending and processing invoices.
  • Communication & Coordination: Help with public notices, meeting agendas, and event planning, while supporting the Planning & Zoning Commission and Town Council meetings.
  • Technology Support: Serve as the department’s IT power user, providing support for various software platforms and troubleshooting when needed.

In addition, you'll have the opportunity to lead special projects, assist with public engagement events, and contribute to the overall success of the Community Development Department.

 Hiring Range: $26.04 - $31.25

 Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat (experience with GIS and financial software a plus!)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-first attitude.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in workload and tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and always maintain professionalism.

 Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position, but it may involve occasional lifting and walking to support special events or deliver materials (25-50 lbs. regularly, up to 75 lbs. occasionally). You’ll also need the ability to work at a desk and perform filing tasks.
