970 Design is looking for a dynamic Account Manager to join our team. The Account Manager oversees client relationships and builds projects within our agency. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage client accounts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain exemplary customer service standards.
This position ensures our clients receive exemplary customer service while maintaining profitability, staying mission-focused, and managing growth. The role involves assembling teams, crafting strategies, identifying new opportunities, and managing evolving scopes of work.
Successful candidates will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of client relationship management in a creative agency or fast-paced marketing environment. They are adept at forecasting resource and bandwidth needs, ensuring teams are aligned to meet client and organizational objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being part of an innovative team and owning a portfolio of current client accounts. Continually building on, understanding and uncovering business goals and client relationships.
- Supporting and growing client relationships via regular check-ins and collaboration with clients and production teams to ensure seamless project execution, from onboarding to final delivery, while meeting client expectations in a timely and insightful manner.
- Preparing thorough and compelling emails, proposals, contracts, and other documents to drive client sign-on and new business.
- Developing knowledge of clients’ businesses, competitive challenges, and how key strategic issues could impact client/agency objectives.
- Partnering with the Production team to ensuring successful onboarding of new clients and team members, implementing processes, and ensuring a cohesive client experience.
- Regularly leading or contributing to client meetings, offering points of view, recommendations, and ideas for enhancing the business.
- Driving client retention on assigned accounts and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
- Estimating and assigning budgets to new and existing projects and monitoring to ensure the project stays on track as well as communicating budget updates or concerns with clients.
What we're looking for:
- The ideal candidate will have previous agency experience and have a track record of cultivating account growth through thoughtful, creative, and solution-based client strategy.
- Proficiency in developing and managing budgets, estimates and billing cycles using Harvest or comparable account management and invoicing software.
- Passion for customer service and the ability to become an expert in each client’s business and industry, with a willingness to embrace new tasks and a passion to grow client relationships

Compensation
Compensation for this role is a combination of salary, benefits, and profit sharing, targeting a total annual compensation range of $70,000 – $85,000. The salary range is $60,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
Other Requirements
Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
