Honoring and celebrating traditions has been an integral part of the iconic Sitzmark Lodge’s past – and now present. In partnership with the Town of Vail and Vail Valley Partnership, Sitzmark Vail’s local owners, Steve and Amy Kisielica, are bringing back Vail’s daily Après Bell Ringing Ceremony, starting July 4, 2024.

WHAT: 

Return of the Town of Vail’s daily bell ringing ceremony, paying homage to the town’s European heritage, signifying the start of après ski. 

Sitzmark Vail, in partnership with the Town of Vail and Vail Valley Partnership, are extending this winter season ritual to a year-round tradition, with daily 3 p.m. bell rings to kick off après day time activities. 

Taking place from Sitzmark Vail’s new Bell Tower Guest Room where three new bells have been installed on the exterior of the hotel building, future hotel room guests will have the option of ringing the bell as part of their stay. 

The public can also participate in and enjoy après as the hotel’s new whiskey and wine SitzBar.
