Brothers Estevan and Alejandro Guti rrez have built an international following with a remarkably spare musical formula: two guitars\, lap steel and an unmistakable musical connection between them. Drawing on Latin American rhythms\, surf music\, western soundscapes and psychedelia\, their largely wordless music conjures landscapes that stretch from the Andes to the deserts of the American Southwest.The Vilar performance comes exactly one week after the September 25 release of the duo's newest album\, "Los Ojos Del C ndor\," their sixth album and third produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The new record turns their sound more directly toward South America\, drawing inspiration from their mother's native Ecuador\, their family's Peruvian heritage and musical traditions from across the continent.Over the past several years\, Hermanos Guti rrez have taken that sound to some of the world's most prominent stages\, including Coachella\, and introduced it to an even broader audience through an acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk Concert. They have toured with Khruangbin and joined Jack Johnson on his 2026 "SURFILMUSIC" tour across North America and Europe. The brothers also co-composed the score for the Jack Johnson documentary "SURFILMUSIC."
